*This piece was inspired by a moment when Nicki Minaj shared a photo of Foxy Brown and said she wanted it as a painting. As someone who grew up on Foxy’s music, I felt the same — her presence, her voice, her energy were iconic. Creating this painting was both a tribute to one of the legends I grew up listening to and a celebration of her influence on hip-hop culture. While I originally hoped to get the original into Nicki’s hands, this piece has become one of my favorites — a blend of personal nostalgia and cultural respect."
