"JoJo" is the second painting of my ongoing Legacy Portrait Series, created to honor souls whose light will leave an imprint long after their time here ended. I met JoJo through one of my top art collectors- before ever meeting him, I met her, and even in that brief connection, her spirit was unforgettable.
She was radiant yet restless, full of warmth but carrying storms inside. This portrait reflects that duality perfectly. The light that was a fight to keep from dimming, the beauty that refused to break under the weight of personal battles.
JoJo's journey ended unfortunately shortly after we met, about a week after to be exact. However her energy remains, vibrant, raw and unforgotten. May this piece remind us that even in struggle, there is still grace! Let us remember to cherish the living and to honor those who've gone before us by carrying their love, laughter and light forward.
